National Chemistry Quiz Contest

The quiz contest covers the General Chemistry curriculum taught in regular and science/science-oriented classes. Questions related to this year's theme will also be asked. Kapnayan 2016 is centered on the theme: "Aligning Chemistry Education with ASEAN Integration towards Global Competitiveness in Agro-Industrial Technology."

The contest focuses on the exhibition of inherent talent among the youth in terms of visual arts. The aim of the event is to cater the application and importance of creativity and imagination to scientific studies.

The contest focuses on the exhibition of inherent talent among the youth in terms of literary composition. The aim of the event is to cater the application and importance of creativity and imagination to scientific studies.

Seminars and Field Trip

Seminars are where chemical experts both from the academe and industry will impart their knowledge and insights on issues related to the theme. Educational and Nature Trips are where students will be toured at different scientific institutions located at the UPLB Campus such as International Rice Research Institure, Institute of Plant Breeding, DTRI, as well as Makiling Botanic Gardens, Museum, etc.

Chemical Magic Show

This event is where Chemistry will be presented in its most entertaining form.

Parties and Others

Kapnayan does not only focus on Chemistry and exhibition of skills through contests but there will also be a time for students to meet and socialize with other participants. There will be an acquaintance party and more!
